André Kasche is Swiss, German and European patent-, trademark and design attorney. He has gained extensive knowledge in IP-matters in industry and law firms.

First IP-experiences were in the patent department of Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH and in law firms in Cologne and Munich. In 2004 he founded his own patent law firm and started a cooperation with Ritscher & Partner AG in Zurich, which firm he acquired in 2013 and which he transferred 2025 together with his team to the patent law firm IPrime Rentsch Kaelin.

André studied chemistry and mathematics at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, USA, as well as biochemistry, organic chemistry, and chemical engineering at the University of Hannover, Germany.

His doctorate was awarded by the Max Planck Institute of Endocrinology on the synthesis of antihormones and the study of their affinity in in-vitro and animal models. He has broad industrial practice including chemical research. 

His technical emphasis is on life sciences, pharmacy, organic chemistry and in particular the area of biotechnology.
