Rudolf Rentsch acts as consultant and as litigant, in all areas of intellectual property law (in particular patent, trademark and copyright law) as well as competition law. He has vast experience in managing complex patent litigations as well as in coordinating international law suits. Further areas of expertise include ICT law (information and communication law), licensing law as well as legal and technical consultancy in the field of computers, software, the Internet and telecommunications. He is a member of the China Desk Association of Switzerland and has been involved in cross-border litigation and contract matters in Asia and the USA for many years.
Moritz Kälin

Moritz Kälin studied chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETHZ), with specialization in polymer chemistry and physical chemistry, and subsequently made a PhD with a topic in experimental physics. He then deepened his knowledge in the field of intellectual property protection with a postgraduate degree. From 2004 to 2016, he worked as an employee and partner in two intellectual property law firms in Zürich, most recently as head of the patent department of Rentsch Partner Ltd. Since 2013 he is member of the board of LES Switzerland, the Swiss Chapter of Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). Moritz Kälin deals in particular with inventions in the field of medical technology, intralogistics, chemical plant engineering, pharmaceuticals, and general mechanical engineering.

She has particular knowledge in the life sciences and technology sectors, and regularly intervenes in post-M&A and other financial disputes, cases of failed compliance and related corporate governance and liability matters, and also assists clients with the set-up and enforcement of commercial arrangements involving novel technologies and business models.
Otto-Martin Willy Bertschinger

Otto-Martin Willy Bertschinger studied microbiology at the University of Zurich and holds a postgraduate master's degree in intellectual property from ETH Zurich. His professional career led him first to a patent and licensing department of an international corporation in 2004 and then to a staff department of an international financial services provider in Zurich and Singapore. Since 2008 he has been working in private practice law firms specialized on patent law. Most recently, he led the Swiss branch of a cross-border patent service provider as a managing partner. Otto-Martin Willy Bertschinger joined IPrime Rentsch Kaelin Ltd as Counsel in November 2017.
Thomas Kretschmer

Rolf K. Sparing was admitted as German Patent Attorney in 1996. He is furthermore admitted as European Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney before the European Patent Office (EPO) and before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), respectively. Rolf K. Sparing has extensive experience in filing and enforcing patents, utility models, trademarks and designs in Germany, Europe and worldwide. He also has an excellent background in infringement proceedings as well as opposition and patent nullity proceedings. Rolf K. Sparing regularly advises on the negotiation and drafting of complex license agreements, employee inventor compensation and strategic patent portfolio management. Ernst J. Brem focuses on general administrative and administrative court proceedings, copyright law, as well as on matters of food law and general economic law.
